Girls Can Lift (Ages 8-14)

Learning the correct foundations can help start girls for a lifetime of fitness. In this fun and energetic class young girls learn the fundamentals of lifting weights in a safe manner. We will cover the basic principles of weight lifting and the terminology for the different body parts that are activated in each exercise.

We will learn and perform lifts from olympic lifting, power lifting and general strength training programs. A special focus will be on safe techniques, proper forms, and how to have fun while strength training. Join to boost self-esteem, a healthy lifestyle, and friendships for young girls!

Postnatal Fitness

Postnatal Fitness and Recovery is a class designed specifically for new mothers who want to regain strength, restore core function, and improve overall fitness after childbirth. It focuses on exercises that promote recovery, address common postpartum concerns, and support a healthy return to exercise.

This is the perfect class for you if you are a new mother who has received medical clearance for exercise and want to rebuild strength, enhance energy levels, and reconnect with your body after childbirth.

The class begins with a gentle warm-up that includes breathing exercises and gentle movements to activate the core and pelvic floor muscles. It then progresses into exercises that target areas affected by pregnancy and childbirth, such as pelvic floor exercises, gentle core work, upper and lower body strength training, and cardiovascular exercises. The instructor provides modifications for individual needs and emphasizes proper alignment and gradual progression. The session concludes with a cool-down, relaxation, and gentle stretching.

  • Educational Fun: We integrate basic muscle anatomy and nutrition into our exercises, making learning about health a joyous adventure.

  • Skill Development: Through functional bodyweight movements like squats and deadlifts, we gently introduce strength training, tailored for young, developing bodies.

For the Parents:

  • Structured Workouts: At the start of each class, parents engage in specially designed circuits, focusing on functional movement.

  • Progressive Overload: Our circuits are carefully crafted to ensure progression, allowing for improvements in strength and fitness over time.

  • Adaptable for All Levels: Whether you're a fitness newbie or a seasoned enthusiast, our workouts cater to every level.

  • Trainer Support: While the primary focus is on the kids, as a trainer, I'll be overseeing the parents' workouts, offering guidance and checking in periodically to ensure proper form and technique.
